We are looking for you folks every day when shall
we her you course driven on hurry up |
Notes: |
I transcribed the message as best I could. I don't think I have it all correct yet. The
message was written in pencil and is smudged. And there appears to be an erasure in the
middle of the message around the word "we". But you get the idea. Company is expected
and they'd better hurry up and get there! This is an interesting card for a couple of reason. I love the unusual "flag" cancellation. Also, notice that it was postmarked in Moberly -- about 25 miles south -- not in Macon. I wonder if people in Macon were sending postcards with pictures of Moberly churches? It is a very interesting full-color picture. It has very realistic colors, even though it was probably hand-tinted. Compare the small size of the trees on the left to some of the other later pictures on other postcards that I have. |
