Dear brother & sister. We are all well and hope you all are the same.
Emma and Floyd are in Macon this week. They are getting along fine.
How are you all so good. I might. Love your brother F L
Notes:
A pencil fades through the years. And the card stock darkens. So the message gets
progressively more difficult to decipher as time goes on. But I think I figured this
one out. It's pretty much just a "keeping-in-touch" message among family members,
which used to be a lot more common than it is today. The most interesting thing on this postcard is the postmark. It wasn't mailed from Macon. The postmark says "Ardmore", which is not much more than a wide spot in the road, a few miles southwest of Macon. I don't think Ardmore has a post office any more. But apparently in 1907 there was a post office with its own postmark.
